Standard Field Bag No. 2003 – USA-Made Leather Briefcase

The Standard Field Bag No. 2003 is a handcrafted, American-made leather briefcase built for a lifetime of everyday use. Made in our Deer Park, Washington workshop, each bag is constructed from 6–8 oz USA-tanned full-grain leather and finished with solid brass hardware manufactured in the United States.

Designed to serve as both a leather messenger bag and everyday work briefcase, the Standard Field Bag offers generous storage without unnecessary bulk. A solid brass buckle secures the adjustable front flap, while the exterior pocket provides convenient access to documents, notebooks, and everyday essentials.

Inside, a dedicated laptop compartment accommodates most 13-inch and many 15-inch laptops. An additional organizer pocket keeps smaller items in their place. The included full-grain leather shoulder strap and shoulder pad provide comfortable carrying throughout the day.

We use genuine full-grain leather that retains the natural character of the hide. Scars, wrinkles, grain variations, and other markings are part of what makes each bag unique. With regular use, the leather will soften and develop a rich patina, becoming distinctly your own.

Unlike mass-produced leather bags assembled overseas, the Standard Field Bag is made in Washington State using American-tanned leather, American-made solid brass hardware, and traditional leatherworking methods.
